Mysore Palace

The interior work of the Mysore Palace is an outstanding example of the Hoysala period architecture pattern. However, the exterior view projects Indo-Saracenic architectural style and design, which makes it class apart from the other palaces of the city. The maintenance of the palace is undertaken by the government of Karnataka. In one portion of it, the descendants of the royal family still resides.

Mysore Zoo
Acknowledged as one of the most popular and oldest zoos in India, it was established in 1892.  The German landscaper G.H. Krumbeigal had played an important role in its construction. Dasara Festival, New Year and Summer Holidays are the main seasons for visiting Mysore Zoo.

Brindavan Gardens
The symmetric designing of the Brindavan Gardens in Mysore is the main tourist attraction.  It is also acknowledged as one of the most exquisitely laid out terrace gardens in the world. Music fountain show takes place during the evening in these gardens. It is maintained by the Government of Karnataka.

Jaganmohan Palace
Constructed in 1861, the majestically designed and captivating architecture of this palace reveals the brilliance of Wodeyar Kings. It was the royal abode of the Kings of Mysore when the Mysore Palace was under construction.

Railway Museum
It is known for exhibiting the best of vintage locomotives in India. Indian Railways had established it in 1979. It reveals a captivating growth of locomotives in India.
